MENU OPTIONS DISAPEAR? HELP

I am new to zbrush, and was following a zspear tut. and it told me to go to transform palete to select "x" I did this it worked but when I whent to do it again it was greyed out and typing "x" didn`t work. :confused:

perhaps you went out of edit mode somehow?

make sure you are in edit mode and it should be available to you.
