Thanks for the kind comments.
The body, head, lower arms, and wing bones were done in Zspheres.
Steel feathers were added one by one with one tool, and a bit of layer duplicating and flipping.
All textured in Zbrush using custom made materials and lots of Projection Master fun.

Curious! Not that you needed one, but you just got your self a fanboy. That is an awesome model. I'm seriously impressed. You should email chris@cmistudios.com and do a DVD.

Thank you all for taking a look. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out as this is only my third attempt at a Zbrush piece. Your encouragement is spuring me onward.
Vlad,
Wing bones are made with Zsheres and posed while in adaptive skin preview mode. I then made a single "feather" tool and placed the major feathers separately, rotating and sizing as I went. I then duped the layer, flipped it, and added a few "scondary" feathers one by one to add a little asymetry to the piece.

Aztec,
The image is for a story I'm working on inspired by Lord Dunsany's "The Hashish Man" so "the One" probably isn't who you think it is (and no it has nothing to do with the Matrix ;) )
Very artistic and kinda Hinduistic ;).
Makes me wonder what story it is that is behind the image.

Elegant serpentine modelling and a lovely use of colour to enhance the sense of the supernatural.
I love the wings. The subtle use of cavity shaing(?) give them a very nice painted look. The body is also very well done. Not to fond of the red halo though.
Good job :tu:

Thanks for the comments folks.
Ezekiel,
The lips and ears are done using Zsheres (here) (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200405/user_image-1085427398die.jpg) to make initial holes. Even though the mouth is closed, I find this helps make a nice crisp line for the mouth. I move points in the lowest mesh resolution to close the mouth. A little inflate and pinch gives a nice outer lip outline. I build up the ear detail around the initial Zsphere hole.
You're doing some nice modeling in your gallery already. Hope this helps.

very well done again, :tu: :tu: ;)
Hello Curious-
I am looking around on the galleries and found your mesh model interesting. Do you have any turn views to show of her in the begging stages.
That one sheet with the different phases is great and would be a great deal of help to see the anatomy one in the turn
views Front, Side and Back.
Thanks,
Savnac :D
