View Full Version : ZBrush 3 Beta Images/Studio Wall II
FinalMouths_Med.jpg
This is the second image in my series of facial feature studies (here is the first http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=43420&highlight=studio+wall).
I was lucky enough to get on the beta for Zbrush 3 for these studies. Each mouth was done in one hour or less starting from a simple plane. The new brushes in Zbrush 3 are fantastic. You forget that you are working digitaly and just concentrate on sculpting, it is a real treat. I Can't wait till everyone gets a chance to try it out.
Thanks for looking, comments and crits welcome.

Hi Joel,
Worthy work (both wall studies), thanks for sharing. I'd say Pixologic should ask to use these in the Wiki... added to Ryan's "Learn to Sculpt" section, or the tutorials page for sure.

These are cool! How many polys did each one end up being? Are you going to do the same with ears or eyes?

Hey Plunq. I really like your idea. Especially to learn each section of anatomy. Would be awesome. Maybe you can do a bunch of mouths with different expressions? That would be sweet :D

Really nice.

Thanks for all the kind words.
Svengali, I don't think they are as good as Ryan's stuff but thanks!
Monstermaker, glad you like 'em. They were anywhere from 400 to 600. Each one started off as a plane or a cap from a cylinder, I just kept subdividing till I was done. I'm actually planning on both eyes and ears. I will probably cut down on the amount of ears I actually model since they are a lot more complicated than eyes, but yep, it's all in the works!
Brett, glad you like them. Why do just mouth expressions when I could do whole heads? :) At least that's the idea.
Jason, haha I've got no room on my walls anymore...
Thanks Bryan.

Awesome study man. make me want to do the same :D
I saw in your thread over cgtalk that you've started a new wall with the eye area. Can't wait to see it complete , keep it up :tu:
I see an opportunity for a very cool animation with this piece. Different conversations happening at once or maybe the "telephone game" where the original phrase is altered after being repeated and changed by everyone.
Lots of different voices...
