View Full Version : Welding Mesh Problem
Yet another question from me! :rolleyes: Does anyone know why when you weld a "half mesh" together in another 3d program, that you get a rendering seam(green line) when you export it back to Zbrush. Even better....how do you fix it. (I wouldn't be using another program if I could easily delete small polys and/or the mesh stayed symetrical) Oh well, the woes of life! ;) http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1033434208mba.jpg
why would you even want to weld a mesh when you can do what you posted in one shot...

Hi :)
The green line is an indicator of an edge-polygon that is either a 3D edge (open ended mesh) or a UV edge (non-continuous UV).
You can instruct ZBrush to weld the seam by setting the ‘weld’ value to be larger than zero (zero is the default value) and then import the 3D mesh. The weld slider is located above the IMPORT button.
Hope this helps :)

@Ez
I need to delete the mouth and eye polys which I can't do acurately by masking them because they are small polys.
@ Pix
Now why didn't I try that weld feature! :) Of course that did the trick. Thanks.
