ZBrush 3 Beta Images/WIP - thread, void, kiss, sunken...

Here are some images made with Z3/maya/photoshop in the last few days. With all of the amazing images people have been posting I've felt quite inspired to get back to some personal work... I've been trying to avoid focusing on details and just making some images for fun as quick as possible with the little time I seem to have these days! oi.

The new beta is awesome... just launched it 30 minutes ago and fifteen minutes later had this using the new brushes. That was fun! Just keeps getting better. I heart Pixologic.

Yeah I like the effect the skin provides. Very nice idea. The emotion that seems to be present, appears derived from the lips. I think this character could have a lot potential. Most characters rely on the eyes to pass on information but I think you have hit on something wonderful here. ;)

The background 'drawing' is what's left of the original sketch... I was going to make everything 3D but now I kinda like how the bg looks the way it is. (?) But I still want to work on the character some more... Had the kids all day today but hopefully tomorrow I can get back to it. :)

As I have mentioned in previous threads consider the dvd's
by you an Meats Meir to be among the best.
Look forward to seeing one, from you, about Z3.
The fact that you are, by profession, a "teacher" gives you

Here's an upres update... the previous image was a quick PS test which I ended up liking but it was only 1k... so I had to up the res on my textures (MD3... yippie!), rerender, and put the comp back together again at 4k. I also turned the ledge into a chalk rail...:)

I'm in Madrid being bombarded by inspiring and beautiful sculptures, architecture and painting... and already I can't wait to get back to 3D. It is really sad how uninspiring LA is compared to Europe. pah! :)

Hi, I see the work here is really nicely done, Speciall the guy half drowned. Really like the emotion, and love his eyes, Shows lonliness.
