Hi all,

Is it possible to import an OBJ file with multiple UVs (ex: 1 UV for head, 1 UV for the body, etc.) ?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, and No.
Yes you can import object with multiple materials, and multiple UV's. You can distinguish through polygroups.
No, you can't work with them with multiple materials, or UV's since Zbrush only allows you to work with 1 texture at a time.

the workaround, is to just work with 1 texture at a time. It may look strange, but it works.

Thanks Game Master 770 :)
The problem is that if your work on 1 part (head), export the lores obj along with the displacement map, work on another part (body) and do the same operation, when you want to connect them back in lightwave... It doesn't work.

I guess I'll have to find another way or I'll have to make the complete body with a huge UV map.

Thanks again.

I know this is an old thread, i couldnt find any newer ones with this problem and there's been quite a few new versions of ZBrush released since then...

Is there an option to do it in newest ZBRush? I already have model built and it has 3 UV maps upper body lower body
and head, and i need to work on it as a whole to make normal maps and avoid seam lines... I also would like to avoid
dividing the model into separate meshes and using them as subtools...

Is there a way to import Multi UV OBJ file and be able to use multiple mats in ZBrush for making normal maps or
displacement maps?

Thanks in advance
