Update WIP - Where to Begin

I made a bit of progress on my latest image and figured I'd post an update.

I resolved the problem I was having with jagged edges and lack of detail, and changed the overall perspective of the image. I added the chair, mouse and pad, lamp, fireplace and revised the walls and floor.

In the works still:
More details along the wall
Details on the fireplace mantle
Character sitting in the chair pondering where to begin
Fire in the fireplace

If anyone has any tips on creating fire and flames, I'd love to hear them.

What progress !! wow --love the lamp and every new item--sorry for the Emeril'ese but...this has been "Kicked up--100's of notches" a great looking picture and I'll be looking forward to seeing the character--and flames !! :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: and then some..

I wouldn't have expected any more than what is showing in your updated image! Actually, I probably wouldn't have expected this much! A really great progress. . . :D :tu: :D

If I may suggest, once you have a good fire going in the fireplace, you might want to think about moving the wooden table & chair away from the flames??? You wouldn't want to start them on fire, after all your hard work. :rolleyes: Heheheh. Also, you don't want that new computer system to start melting do you??? :p

I can hardly wait for the finished work, I'll keep checking though & you have a good one . . . :cool: Mark.

What a great concept!
Love the details and POV. The fire will really add interesting lighting to the wood surfaces. I particularly looking forward to that addition!

I'm not sure when I'll get this one finished. Could be the weekend, but probably next week (vacation).
The mouse pad is a little fur pelt. I hadn't thought about lighting effects from the fire yet, but that's a great idea. I'm trying to think about the best way to accomplish it. Actually I'm still figuring out the best way to do the fire too, hehe. I'll be sure to post what I come up for it. It sure would be a shame for the new computer to suffer a meltdown, hopefully the brick floor will help with that :)
