Hi,
My name is Loïc e338 Zimmermann.
I must say i'm impressed by all the stuff done on this release. unfortunately, i was too busy to seriously do what one would expect of a beta tester. eh! At least you guys did.

So here is my first attempt, with the beast. I'm usually stay stucked to a little million of polys, but i think it's about to change... hahaha.

Once again, thnaks to you all for the job done. It rocks !

hey loic!

great work. he kinda reminds me of "the horned god" from simon bisley's "slaine" comic.
btw. just read the imaginefx interview with you.. and looked briefly on the tutorial. looking nice.

hi folks. thanks; glad you like.

Abyss103, yup; Bisley is in the air. When i started to work on this character, old memories of the "horned guy" started to pop up ! eh! that's it. But no reference beeing used here.

Gpepper, hi mister. who'd complain having fans ? ahahaha ! take care

killer modeling and a very cool concept, please feel free to show more shots :D

also I can't help but wondering how many polygons this is. not even at the extreme side-closeup of the face is there even a hint of a polygon face. if I didn't know it was 3d, I would swear that it was a real wax model. the amount of polygons involved must be staggering, or is this somehow related to the HD geometry thingy? NDA probably prohibits you from answering in detail, but a small hint would suffice ;)

either way, really really great modeling!!

*sigh*

I've got to stop browsing the beta forum. There's too much awesomeness to take in...

Lovely! The celtic Horned God?

Edit: And then I read the rest of the thread...

hi,

late answer.

Yeah, it's HD modelling. something around 50 Millions of polys on the entire character, 7 M on the single face. Ok, just a test, i didn't use this polycount as much as i could. We'll see this on another project.

lata fellas

dislaced.
Edit: And then I read the rest of the thread...hahah. yeah, Celtic god is in the da house.

This is an amazing piece of work, the wrinkles are tremendous. Do you have a huge collection of alphas that you used to creat that or do you have another method, if you dont mind me asking? also what is the material you have used here, as i have seen so many people using a simular one and it looks so much like clay. Thanks so much for sharingthis as i really am impressed with the scull and well like i say, those wrinkles are WOW!!!!!
