Tenacious Zeee Guitar tutorial

Ok, fellow ZBrushers.... Here is the strangest tut I made so far.
Strange because I had a friend sitting next to me making funny faces and my wife behind me slapping the back of my head because I recorded this and did not work on my books :D (ouch). So, please, forgive my ramblings and slight inaccuracies. it's a one shot recording and no editing.

I hope it inspires one or the other idea. At least it should remind you that if your task is to tedious, that ZBrush probably has a simpler solution.. well... somewhere.

PS:If you use more polygons and load a background picture as reference... you might even get a realistic model out of it. Which is hard to imagine judging the quality of my model provided :lol: .

You should try my method. After I found out how cheap it is to have a CPA do it I never looked back. Throw it in a box and dump it on someone else. Its quite empowering in a way. Now if someone else could just pay them for me.

I use a CPA. But I prepare the Box/Spreadsheets :rolleyes: . Real cheap that way. Compared to the humbug in Germany the Tax preparation for my business over here is a piece of cake.

LOL Frenchy. YouTube will squish the format very small. I tried it once, but you can barely make out the cursor. I'm happy having it on LemoTube's server haha.

Great job, really appreciate you sharing that tidbit with us. I didn't have any expectations when I opened the tutorial just figured I'd check it out on a whim. I enjoy your posts in general and any tut is a good one in my book especially since I'm always learning something not to mention still being new to this 3D stuff. Your tut was enjoyable, interesting, and provided a neat bit of information in such a way to easily digest the information while keeping it very time efficient. I was thrilled and my hats off to you sir , the more tuts we have like that around the better!! :tu: :tu: Feel free to keep more tut's coming, though, might wanna make sure your wife isn't watching!! ;) :eek: ;) Many many thanks!!

Home sick today so I thought - make a guitar.

The thingymabobs on the end of the whatcha callit are out of whack. I snapshotted (is there such a word?) them on. I'm lazy and I can't play a guitar anyway:rolleyes:

Used your method partly. I used an alpha to cut the guitar out of a high res plane. Photo texture applied in ZAppLink.

PS:Thingy's are "tuner's".

pps. The 'tuners' are 'machine heads' and they turn 'capstans', around which you wind the strings. They all live on the 'head stock'.

Actually it was quite fast. I made the alpha from the photo. The alpha map, the texture and the document were all the same size with the guitar centered. All I had to do was lay the texture over the top in PS and then paint the sides. Really quick method.

Thanks also for the get well. My wife just brought me home against my will :rolleyes: I hate being home with nothing to do but I should not spread the joy to others so I complied. We have been in the middle of a flue epidemic up here for about a month now. What can I say about a guy my age who is too dumb to go get a $17 flue shot:o I guess I'll start on my egg. See you all on that thread.

I'm rambling again. I must be getting senile. Looking at the guitars I think I'll put a Doors CD in, have a shot of the good stuff and space out for awhile.
