If you blurrrrrr the background the figures would jump out a bit more. Give it a try. Looks fun! Is it a dog chasing space squirrels?? My dog does that to the terrestrial ones all the time.

Cool! Glad it worked 8).
Now... the story... Is that Rocket Dog escaping the other alien or are the alien passing the doggie back and forth? Not really clear what the plot is with the cool guy's there. I, and that's only an idea..., would only use one alien and have him sort of 'fly' after the dog while desperately holding on to a leash. So that it looks as the alien is like a flag in the wind behind the fast dog. You get the point. You can make a leash very quickly with a cylinder which you size thin and long. Use a few segments and you can bend it in the deform with soft bend. Again, just an idea...

Very cool idea overall. A litttle too shiny and lemonnado has given you valuable info. Also a little contradictory dimensionaly - specifically characters are 3D, and the ground looks 2D, perhaps altering the shadow to be a little more below the characters would help ground the scene. Or add a few more elements to the terrain to help with depth as is for sure not the moon.

I was wondering where my mail-order NASA Rocket Pack had gone. The post office stated it was lost in transit. ;)

Fairly nice concept over all as has been said, and I do like it. And I'd agree, lemonnado has definitely given some good advice for things to try, that's for sure. I too would like to see an alien being drug by a dog with a jetpack in space to prove not only humans have issues with maintaining their pets on leashes.
