i wanna start up a new modeling company whose focus is mainly on cars. i've tried box modeling in max but its driving me insane. zbrush seems like the answer to my prayers but i can't find any car modeling turoials on the web. If anyone has a link spread the word

mu77y, sorry, but ZB is inappropriate 4 serious car-modelling... serious cars can U make with nurbs-proggi only -- everything else is trash... I know, what I am talking about, because car design is my job...

Rhino would be best, but modelling a car in any app won't be easy :D are you sure you're not running before you can walk???

absolutelly agree, Buckie :tu: :tu: I use Rhino3 and SolidThinking5.0 :tu: :tu:

(for renderingZZ everything else: ZB, strataCX, max6 and, of course, SolidThinking and Flamingo/Rhino)

Car modeling can be done very well in SDS software like Silo as well:

The best tools for NURB's modeling for industry is Alias Studio Tools. ;) :)

Rhino by far is the best way to go. That website is that of my freind, Saba. I've known him for a loooooong time now, and is an excellent car designer. Rhino is really easy to learn, just takes a differnt mind set, nothing like polymodeling. www.rhino3.com (http://www.rhino3.com) has a free eval u can dl. tons and tons of car tuts out there. enjoy!

thanks everybody you've all been a great help, i'm already getting started on a mazda rx8 in rhino and i'm already getting up to speed with it. i'm not just planning on modeling it i'm also gonna model a bodykit for it and try and recreate some giavanna rims. Long live cars
