Femalien *Update 12-04-02* Final Character!

This is my first long term project in Z and my first full figure. When I came home from work today, I had an idea for a great image...and only 6 hours later, I finally finished the major modeling. I would like some 121 on her if you all don't mind.

Some things that changed...the head...I just couldn't bring myself to do it..what do you all think?

Thing to fix so far: Torso and leg are not long enough.

Looks like a good start and a nice conceptual sketch.
I can't really offer any 121, as you say it's just a quick positional test.
The bikini top looks a bit too thick in comparison to the light, flouncy looking skirt.
Good to see how it is progressing.

Thanks for the comments Mik. I an looking forward to this image but unfortunately, with the holiday this weekend and pressing work from existing clients, it is going to take longer then I had wanted. :(

But I will try to squeeze some Z time in Friday or Saturday.

I think it is coming along nicely, Some 121, hmmn... A critique, A few minor adjustments could be made... First of all the disinterested (crossed arms are body language for disinterest.) pose and form are real nice. The area around the knees looks a bit too skinny and could use some meat on the sides. The shoulders seem a little too broad(masculine) perhaps making them smaller would add more femininity. Also, the arms seem to be intersecting eachother. The clothes could use something... perhaps more details... I don't know. I'm not real sure what you are doing with the hands, head and feet but I'm sure you already know that and will work more on them. Overall I think this really could be something quite fantastic with the right attention. Great job so far! I dig your concept sketch too!

Thanks yall! Yes I am going to texture her. Actually I have it set up to once I finish texturizing the pieces, I am going to MM them together. I am having a problem though...trying to decide on on either realism or toonshader style...hhmm..maybe both.
There will also be a vehicle behind her and a futuristic city scape.

Right now, I am working on the long leather gloves/hands, some lace trimmings, and a costume design for he top as well.

Still need to model the folds in the gloves and some other finer details. Then I may finally start the moto and then the background scene.

I noticed a problem anatomically with her left leg, "the one in the front". It seems to dent inward on the inside and it just doesn't seem as smooth as it should be. You may have been trying to do something with the leather here, but it does look a bit off.

Hi,

I really like this. The body looks soft and round, while the fabric has really crisp lines to it.
I can imagine her smoking that cigarette. She probably has a quick smoke before going onstage.
The freckle texture works too!

Let me spill it...The Image will me called Need a light?
It will have a very futuristic motorcycle just behind her and I am still planning on the immediate foreground. Background will look futuristic as well...I am thinking NeoTokyo, night time (so I can get some blues in the background)...lots of city lights too. This is going to take me a while but I fell its about time I made a full on Illustration.

I just now finish messing around with the tire/rim basic..might look like this when I am done...might not. I have never made anything like this before. I am going to have to pick apart Pix's ZCycle for inspiration...it took me over an hour alone to figure out how to get the tire the way I wanted...2 minutes for the rim...*blush*

Lonnie, do you mean out of place as in position or image content.
My wife places her arms as such when she is smoking outside and it starts getting cold..lol. So, you'll have to have word with her.. :P I think it might make more sense when it is all finished. We'll see. If not, well I can always remodel. :D

LoL @ the above post... MTB, you did fantastic so far, even better than I anticipated... I really like the new pose and clothing as well as everything else, man the textures are very sweet. It has a real nice comic cover look to it! She is one heck of an alien babe!! The cig works for me allthough I quit smoking about eight months ago after nearly twenty years of a pack a day. I'm only 31 dude! Makes me cough thinking about it! ;~) Anyways, I'm looking forward to your finished piece... should prove most excellent!
