Finished Alien

Some may recall an image I posted some time back of an Alien Head

monstermakers recent cyclops posts really inspired me to finish this guy off. I love seeing all the great artwork on these boards. I'm a huge fan of the sci-fi pulp covers fron the 40s and 50s. Hopefully this is in some way a tribute to all those great artists.

Rendered in modo and all the detail on the alien was done in ZBrush. I'm really loving ZBrush the more I use it. Now all I need is a faster computer.

Megadeth, huh? That was the last thing I think I'd ever guess of being compared to. Pretty sure I've never seen one of their album covers so I had to do a google image search on them. I can definately see similarities in color scheme. Good stuff! Thanks for the comment.

Hey nice one. I like the 'thinking pose'. I would just try get rid of the tree's reflecting in his eyes. maybe blur them out or something?

I have notced that you are you are exporting displacement map to Modo, do you mind tell me now to do that... each steps... because I am still not "sure" how to do use dispalcement map...;)
