Hello dom,
1st decide if you wish for realism or symbolism (perhaps both). Some of the most effective self portraits don't look much like their creator but reveal much more about themselves then if you had looked at a photo portrait. What most makes you - you?
For realism you may wish to begin with photos of yourself. Two photos may be enough, one taken directly face forward and one taken from the side. Place these photos into a single image then fill a layer with the result. This layer will be the background for the document where you are doing your modeling and will provide the reference of your facial features.
I also strongly suggest having a mirror next to your PC so you can check yourself. While looking in the mirror use your fingers to feel the curves of your face, how your skin dips in around and under the base of your nose etc.
Your work has continually improved, I'm pleased to watch your development :)
Good Luck and Happy modeling !

thanks dude i'll try that :D
It's also very helpful to have a mirror on either side of the computer for reference.
Pictures are nice, but nothing beats the real thing.
Good luck dom, your skills are just increasing by the minute! :tu:

Can't add to the fine advice others have given, but I would like to say your work is definitely improving, and good luck with your self-portrait...I look forward to seeing it! :tu:
