Looking quite nice... did you create it in ZBrush entirely? How's process?

Hey Snake...

Details and textures in Z.
Tweaking in Photoshop ala ZappLink.
Rendered with Mental Ray.

Hey .. neat model! There's some very cool detailing, particularly with the muscles and bone structure. Good one!
I'd make two observations .. not crits, but just ideas. First, the pose doesn't make sense. It works from the back view, as your guy appears to have 'intent' .. he seems to be focused on a point in front of him, and his stance is consistant with that (although he looks a tad off balance). However, when we see him from the front, the pose ceases to make sense. The left hand, arm and shoulder say 'open and welcoming', whilst the rest of the (excellently) posed body says 'defense'. It's confusing.
The second is the creature's face, which .. I dunno .. just looks like an after-thought. Actually, I just looked more closely, and I think it's all to do with his forehead. The eyes look narrowed and suspicious, the mouth being agape suggests aggression, but the wrinkles on the forehead are perfectly horizontal and don't betray any emotion. Get those wrinkles moving, and maybe make his teeth more apparent (and possibly tilt his head to one side slightly) and I reckon this bad boy will really pop!
Nice work on the texture, btw, and a good low-poly mesh too. Thanks for showing him to us. :tu:

Hey thanks guys. I agree about the pose, it's not really expressing what I intended at this point but wanted him doing something other than DaVinci to get him posted.
And I've had some skinning problems that still need to be worked out to get much more out of him.
I've got points shooting off into infinity on certain joints when I move them.
I may have to reskin him, I've tried to straighten the errors out in the component editor and the problems keep popping up no matter what I do.
Hopefully I can get this resolved and put him in a differents stance soon.
As far as the face I think I wanted him to have a perpetual expression of turmoil, but I'll work on it.
Thanks again!!!!
