ok, all questions about what roger has under that wood nappy should be sent to mr. mike mignola, the father of the creature. i don´t have any idea, (and i don´t want to know), about why roger is the way he is.
a boot:

laces? toe to heel looks good, but upwards is a bit abnormal.

Lovely boots...
I love boots...
You should check the proportions indeed, except if its for a non realistic character...
Great render!

not a very good render, but it´s the best i´ve been able to get. after this one, Lightwave just goes down when i try to do more renders (using FPrime). guess one more gb of RAM should be useful. thx for your kind comments for boots.

He' got wood and sporting a rather large "Prince Albert" whilst wearing the best pair of boots I've seen in a long time. ;)

So- I'm guessing the boots reflections are going to be fixed? I really dig the boots- but I'm not seeing it yet in the rest of the character. I'm assuming that you've just gotten started, and we can expect great things.
Keep going- good luck

sorry mate, if you are talking about some zbrush material for leather, i dont´t have any, these are Lightwave renders. maybe you can take the boots renders and play with them with the matcap material as described here :http://www.zbrush.info/docs/index.php/MatCap
laces were done with zspheres.
Thank You any way for the advice..;)
I'll do so..
Yours boots looks very nice...
I hope you keep working on it....
Good luck..:tu:
