Hi. Here is my new z-art thread.

This work has been made under inspiration after viewing "Laberinto del Fauno". This is Awesome movie!

Well ... she is the Faun of a feminine gender. :D
Sculpted in Zbrush as usual. And as you can see rendered in Vray(recent inspiration from Featured Gallery ;) ) The hair and some textures have been painted in Photoshop.
I hope you like it

Great piece of work, you beat me to it, I was considering creating an influence from some of the characters myself. I havn't seen the film yet, even though i have been waiting all year for it to come out, and now it's out I can't find a cinema thats showing it near us

Incidently to anyone reading this thread, the English Title is call "Pans Labyrinth" and I havn't heard a single bad crit about it.

heres the trailer (http://www.panslabyrinth.com/)

what did you render this in, the lighting is spot on, I actually expected to discover you to be one of the designers, when I clicked on the thumbnail.

Great work! I love the head, but I don't feel that the amount of wrinkling on the body and hand really goes with it. Love the piece none the less.

Very very nice! The lighting came out really nice! It looks like she is looking at the moon. Texture of the face and chest are really well done. Also the flower gives the character the femenine and delicate look. Really nice!

I wonder if you made the whole body of just the torso? Because the male version in the movie it's very tall. They also have some crazy legs. If I remember they look like T-rex legs I believe.

Again beautiful piece of work!

OK, I'll agree with everyone, really nice work. Sorta creepy from the neck down though, but then again I have a tendancy towards those pink skinned human females. I know, I know, I gotta let down the barriers.... ;)

This is really beautiful, you've done a good job of capturing the look of the faun from the film. The texture of the horns looks a little dodgy, but that really is nit-picking.

Excellent work!

Leshiy3d,

I'm very excited by your work! All types of serious science/fantacy/fiction work is a passion of mine already. Your attention to detail is great! If you feel ambitious feel free to post more of your work  . I'll be seeing the movie this weekend. Good to hear everyone's reviews.

Hi
I'm back with my new z-art. :D

This is Ankhesenamun (my mod), the third of six known daughters of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten and his Great Royal Wife Nefertiti. Maybe it looks like a male, but she is a female. :D

As always, a base mesh have been created in XSI, sculpted in ZBrush an rendered with Vray. There is no displacement or any bump maps, this is pure mesh with seven levels of subdivision. I exported from ZBrush about 2.7 millions polys into .obj then into 3dsmax, it was great!
I hope you like it.

Very well done, although a bit too clean for such a subject. It would be great to try a more moody lighting as well. Very nice :D

I think this could look really exceptional. Right now it's a bit to uniform in it's decay. If parts of the face look more decayed than the rest, I think it would really help make it look more... mummier! :) Nice stuff though!
