OK -- I'm sold -- I just bought Zbrush. You guys get a kick-back from Pixologic, right? (You should! ;) )

Thanks, Stonecutter. BTW, are you a stone cutter? I've been stone carving at the School of Visual Arts here in NYC for about 4 years now. Was wondering if you were a fellow 'stoner'.

Yes Thunderwatch, I cut facetted gems, carve in gemstone materials, design and make jewelery, and have designed, built, and used my own diamond-cutting equipment...
Welcome, to the Big Z. You have another stone carver here. I have been carving for more years than I care to remember.

Cool! I'm finding ZBrush an interesting extension of clay and stone modeling.

i'm glad to hear to have the full version. it's alot of stuff to learn and it'll probably take a while, but when you do, it's well worth it. keep Zbrushing! i can't wait to see your next pic.

You've also got a bit of a jump on the learning curve compared to someone who buys the program a few months from now. When the next version is released, you'll be that much farther ahead of the game!
Welcome! I'll be looking forward to seeing your work and watching it progress. :)

Thanks, all. Your enthusiasm and support go a long way.
I'm going through the texturing and materials tutorials as we speak. Hope to have something soon...
