Hi all.
Sorry to bug you with my little problems, asking things that can't be done...
You guessed from the title; is it possible to enlarge the canvas of a ZDocument without resizing the contents, and while still remaining 2.5 Di?

Hey Cneofotistos . . . how'ya doing tonight??? :)
If you want to re-size your project screen, it's not a problem, BUT, as you already found out, your objects will also re-size along with the screen. I know that's not what you wanted to hear. :(
Now, I have several times encountered this, due to not planning ahead on my part. But it's an easy work around. I'm assuming your placing Markers on separate layers, for each piece, or object. I just enter my new size for my canvas, then I clear one layer - load my saved object for that layer - use the Marker to place it back on that layer & resize the object to the size that I want. I do that on each layer, & you'll have to re-adjust the position of each object after re-sizing. ;)
I realize it's a lot of work, but it's the only solution that I can offer.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Have a good one my friend . . . Mark.

it's today for me, Mark :) (8am!)
that's what I thought I'd hear anyway, thanx my friend.
(damn planning ahead. you know, a famous ancient greek sculptor killed himself once, when he finished off a statue of Helen of Troy, which fitted just perfectly on the marble bed she was lying on. However, the figure was lying with her legs crouched, so the bed ought to have been longer...
I'm starting to think about suicide... :) )

indeed, Mark! reanimation may be fine in "The Mummy 2", but real-life sculptors should never have a second chance at it.

kruzr is right, choosing the multimarker is the way to go, and as a artist its hard to plan ahead because if your like me then you create by just doing it, instead of trying to think of what your going to do next...

Hi cneofotistos,
This is one of the FutureFeature that will be available in the next release, meanwhile, if you do have a marker placed for every object (as Kruzr and mentioned. Thanks :)) you can reposition all the objects as a group. Here is how…
Clear you canvas and resize the document to your new preferred size and follow these steps to reposition all objects as a group…
:b3: Load all the objects (tools) that you want to reposition.
:b3: Check that all options in the MARKER ::MODIFIERS submenu are selected (such as TOOL,DRAW,POSITION,NORMAL…)
:b3: Select the MultiMarkers tool , click in the canvas and drag to draw the all objects as a group. If needed, switch into TRANSFORM mode and reposition, orient and scale the entire group. When satisfied with the placement of the objects, exit TRANSFORM mode.
:b3: Key step: While you still have the MultiMarkers tool selected, press the TOOL ::MODIFIERS ::REPOSITION button which will relocate all markers to the last drawn position, scale and orientation.
:b3: Save document
I hope this helps :)
