View Full Version : 1 hr lunch scuplt thread
If I can I'm going to post my lunch sculpts that I do here. I give myself an hour each day while I scarf down lunch and play for a few minutes.

Nice work, man. I like the imagination in the designs. I don't normally comment on head sculpts, as I find them boring and redundant, but I like the idea of lunch hour sculpt, it sounds like fun.
I know you have less than an hour to do these, but I wuold like to see a little more refinement on some of the over all shapes. They look a little too smooth right now, a bit more pinch tool over some of them would help. Not hard edges on everything, just making the shapes more crisp from one to another.
The stuff looks good, definitely keep it up, it seems like a great way to refine your skills.
Funny you mention that because I was thinking about doing a reptilian foot as one in here sometime.
I know what you mean about the refinement. I wish I could push them a bit more in the amount of time that I give myself but I'm just working on conveying the form and thought right now. Even an extra hour would give me enough time to add the detail that you're talking about but I told myself I'd only work for an hour on each one. If I can get fast enough to do the base sculpt plus medium detailing then I will but I don't see that happening too soon.

Yeah, that's totally understandable. It is a lunch hour sculpt, so it's not like you really have an hour. You gotta eat, too, so that drops the time you have to sculpt these dudes out.
I do like the ideas in the designs, they are pretty cool, even without the refinement an extra hour would give.
I also think it would be cool to take the lunch hour sculpt idea, and do like a different body part everyday. Mondays, heads, Tuesdays, torsos, Wednesdays, arms, Thrusdays, legs, Fridays, feet, Saturdays, hands, Sundays, horns. All the body parts represented. ;)
Whoa, whoa, whoa there buddy! Now you're cutting into my personal time on the weekends!
Yeah, that is a cool idea about the different body parts. I may have to do that. *nods*

quick render (zbrush) and post processing in PS of the top sculpt. Used Sebescoir's clay material which is pretty sharp.
