This is a hand I'm working on at the moment. I've not done anything for the bump yet. Just the colour and basic form. C & C welcome.Hand_Work_In_Progress.jpg

damned fine job so far. Will it be poseable? Phototexturing?

it's awsome!!:tu::)! the only thing i have to comment (and i hope i won't annoy anyone) is that the skin, where the knuckles are, is a bit flat, the membrane between the fingers is not that visible, in your hand...but it can always be my imagination:)

Its off to a good start, the form looks spot on. The thumb may be a bit swolen, but than again it may be the same on the thumb your referencing. I would use the texture to define the details, which you later enhance. Check out detailing your model with textures on pixologic's site.

I agree with everything said and will rework the areas mentioned. This one was a quick model done for a work project and I hadn't had time to do the bump or anything but I'm going to finish it off after I finish the Pitch Black creature I've been working on.

Great! That's great! Please render it in maya or xsi or c4d for us to see the rendered version with lights etc. Thanks Chris.

These were rendered in Maya's Mental Ray. There's only one light as I haven't spent any time on setting up lights and the shader isn't a sub surface scattering shader. I'll do more work on it tomorrow.hand_Bottom.jpg HandTop.jpg

I've added some bump details. Still haven't had time to do the SSS shader thoughHandRenderBottom.jpg HandRenderTop.jpg

Sorry I didn't answer Ron's question. It is poseable. I've already tested it out and it works rather well.

Look very nice...
Put a spec map to have nails shinyer than finger, and push a bit general spec will be perfect!
