I am trying to make the lead character for a game idea of mine. Before I go any further on this i would like to know if i have the muscle structure correct. If you want to see any more views let meknow I will post them. Thanks in advance.

I did a test render in maya to see if the base would hold the high res detail it didnt perform too bad. Once again crits and comments welcome.

He looks like a starving body builder if you know what I mean. Think you need to overall flesh him out a bit. Mainly in the arms, shoulders, thighs and waist. Did you use some sort of image as a references?

Yes I used references and i dont really understand what you mean by he needs to be fleshed out. Does his muscle tone look to cut maybe tone down some of the cuts or build up the actual muscles themselves?

Yes I mean build up the actual muscles. Don't go overboard though, just some tweaking. For example look at the arms. They look a bit too straight and flat. Going by his pectoral muscles his shoulders should at least have more volume.

Below is a quick example I found highlighting the pectoral muscles and showing the volume of the arms:

Yes I see what you mean now I will post an update as soon as I have it fixed. The images I was using for muscle reference were of a smaller stature male so I can see how I related it wrong.

Hi mnmvava so I'm not a master at anantomy but saw you wanted some crits on muscles so here we go.I agree with eveything that has been said so far!

1)Belly button seems a little low and nipples seem too small.
2)since youve defined the thighs so much shouldnt the lower leg muscles also be defined, flexors, calf muscles etc.
3) The contour line your model makes in both the front and back veiw is too straight, these shapes should be somewhat irregular, bulking the hips and rib cage should help with this and give you better form.
4) His chest seems rather meaty and shaped werid in porportion to the highly cut, but slim muscle grups everywhere else.

Good start though, get some better reference and keep at it!

I changed how I am going to model this guy. I am trying to use the multimesh edit functionality of Z brush. Here are a couple new Z renders of this guy, as always crits ad comments welcome.
