My First Zbrush Try...ashon..wip...

Hi ZBrush artists....this is my first attempt at ZBrush.. I have been watching the tutorials, and pouring over your posts and awesome images. This is about 8 hours of work and is very much still a WIP.. so many tools and techniques I have to learn, but I think it's a start..???? I love making this jump from real clay to digital!!!

Thanks guys for giving me some feedback, I've added more texture to the skin, and some other tweaking.. I'm going to try tackling color next..... This first ZBRUSH project has me hooked....I'm looking forward to digital sculpting when I know more of the program....what a learning experience!!! Hey fellow ZBrush-pixolairians, (whew say that 10 times fast..)

Here is the progression of my first attempt at Zbrush... I'm in love..LOL, with this amazing artistic tool......!!!! The texture is about 3/4 done, and as you can see I only have one eye in right now....

I found a great picture of a "Dumeril's monitoe" lizard in this cool picture book called "Creepy Creatures" published by Kidsbook"s Inc., so I'm trying to copy that lizards markings as reference for "ASHADOOM"...this book has wonderful pics of Bats, spiders, lizards, snakes, and insects. Great clear sharp color photos, on glossy paper...since it's a childs book there's almost very little text and all color photos..... I highly suggest checking it out!

am really sorry to tell you this but i really really hate the texture why dont you make it as a gargoil statue and make the body and all it would look really great;)

Thanks for the input Marshal...this was a total learning process...I'll most likely change this texture as it was my very first one....:lol: , Oh, also It's changed quite a bit from the above post, I'm not sure if I'll put a body on this guy, or just make a new different creature with a complete body......That can be the next thing I'll takle in zbrush!
