Hi Folks,
Well I've finally completed my online ZBrush galleries + examples of my other illustrative work. My true identity is finally revealed. Hope you enjoy the work. :)
Let there be Booze (http://www.markbannerman.com)

BF,
Went to your site and liked the galleries very much. You have an interesting, eccentric, "soft-touch" sensibility that holds well across your conventional work and your unique signature zbrush renders. Hoping things go well for you and that you find your audience.

arrghll ... the flooze is online ... best wishes my friend :)
The Flooze unmasked! Well, I didn't go blind and I got to enjoy a cornicopia of new wonderfully, sometimes cracked, treasure you have there in your galleries.
I must admit I have been wrong all this time about your gender

Well, off I went to visit your galleries. Enjoyment, pure and simple enjoyment. Bookmarked to my favorites. Best luck with the site. But mostly, best luck with the art.

I'd have lost money in a bet.. I too figured you were a she type...
Nice clean site.
What did you use for your non-ZB images? illustrator, Photoshop, etc.?

Hey, I too thought you were of the female variety...
Must be the Floozie bit, I think.
Still, your work is amazing, and thats the important part. Might be a bad time to let you know that I'm creating a piece that has been inspired by you, though. It would have been much easier saying it to a woman ;)
I salute you,
impressive it is!

Thank you friends for all your considered comments and kind words.
The most interesting thing for me in finally getting around to collect all my ZBrush work and experiments to date all in one place is, and observing that they have more similarity to my illustrative work before I went digital than I had realised. That is something I find very heartening as it allows me to put some more painterly soul back into my work whilst staying true to my inspiration.
I've been thinking about many more experiments and ways of working with ZBrush and hope to post these up when time allows over the months ahead.
Thank you all for your encouragement inspiration and help.
The Flooze
ZBrush -I've got you under my skin,
So deep in my heart, that your really a part of me.....

Well I had your sex right, but for some reason I'd decided you were American! More importantly than gender or origin though, it's a joy to see your work collected together for our viewing pleasure - and a true pleasure it is. I've deliberately rationed my viewing and added you to my Favourites to spread the enjoyment of discovering these delightful pieces over a longer period of days. :tu: :) :tu:

Very nice site. Excellent work. I knew you had to be a profesional. Zbrush is excellent for beginers but it truly shines in the hands of profesionals (Ken,Marcel,You among others).

Oh.. I forgot, as a wise man once said...
"If it's not Scottish, it's CRAP!"
But as Renton said:
"It's s#ite being Scottish, we're the lowest of the low, the scum of the f****** earth. The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever s#at into civilization. Some people hate English. I don't. Their just wankers, we on the other hand are colonized by wankers, can't even find a decent culture to be colonized by we're ruled by effete ar$eholes. It's a s#ite state of affairs to be in Tommy and all the fresh air in the world won't make any f***ing difference."
:)
Yes, I'm Scottish-American by way of Black Hills hillbillys... So I can add inbred to my pedigree! :)

just a little note, you have disabled the right click, however with IE6+ images can still be saved with the image tool bar. By placeing meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" at the top of the head of the page you can turn off this feature.

Hi Booz(z)y
Technical advice ! It's illusive to prevent the loading of an image on the net in the state of the technic of today ! (very easy to get round, depend of any Navigators or Platform :)
Design advice : Why the RVB squares on the tittle barr on the up right side ?
This primary colors don't fit with the rest !
Or maybe you want clash the eyes of the spectators as the beat-stick of the Zen Master :)

You do realise, though, that people need only go to view->source and then copy the url of each image into the browser address bar to be able to copy the image?
Also, there are programs available that strip images and pages from sites for offline browsing.
I once used one such app on the official Boris Valejo site, though with permission

Hi Laz(z)arus
You have more simple ! On the recent Navigators you have the "Historic" :)
So you have all the images on your computer during many days since you clear it :D
You can see it without work "on connection" !
Pilou
ps And if you have a Pc you have an another place where the images are classified
Windows/TemporaryInternetFiles/Iec5/..jpg or ...gif idem with Netcape or other :)

Really cool site and a talent to shout about.
www.tumptytumpty.tum/tumpty n/tumpties/ (http://www.tumptytumpty.tum/tumpty)
Provides a directory listing of the images in each gallery, perhaps add a blank index.html to each resource folder. That might slow the baddies down a bit, although not by much I'd still have to bet.
Maybe you don't want googlebot indexing your images http://www.google.com/bot.html is there to help.

Another thing you could do is to screen grab the, erm, screen, and then paste into a paint package as a bmp thus giving you an exact copy!!!
Now that is quick
I often do this when screen grabbing games I build.

IDEA
or we might write a custom browser and use a system wide keyboard hook the intercept the prnt-screen keystroke, then all we'd need are the window names of all the capture proggies out there under the sun so we can poll for them and close their darn terrorist processes whenever they when they pop up. Lets call the system "Protactinium" and sell it to sheep for lots of profit. Then the sheep won't be able to Baaaa without our say so. Muhahahahaha

But you can't never forbidden someone to film or photography his screen with a numeric camera :D

They hang the man and flog the woman
That steal the goose from off the common,
But let the greater villain loose
That steals the common from the goose.

Point taken and realised with all your comments.
Perhaps I should of gone the Flash route.
Oh well, what the heck.
Thanks all.

http://www.srctec.com/flashdecompiler/
"Sothink SWF Decompiler can extract the shapes, sounds, images, sprites, fonts, text and action scripts from a Flash movie. Besides SWF format, the resources can be exported in several formats so you can use them in other applications. The images can be exported in jpeg and bmp formats. The sounds can be exported in mp3 and wav formats. The action scripts can be exported to text file(s). The shapes can be exported in Sothink Glanda format."
I'm trying to figure out what might work better, but I think your method works quite well in all honesty, what you want really (I suppose) is to make abuse of your work something that is both deliberate and relatively actionable. I think you have done so.

Hey Flooze,
Dunno if you know, but I'm a pro web developer, so I know a thing or two. Thought you might like to see this:
[url removed]
The way to get around this is to put an html index page (named to whatever you have set up in the dns) into each of the image folders, so that when they goto this style of address, it shows the page instead of the folder listing. Otherwise, people will just download image after image.
Gotta make it hard for them, bud. ;)
Also, seeing as the page will only show if people try to hack your site, you could put a cheeky message on the page :D :D :D
Hope that helps
Oh, also, where abouts in the UK are you? I'm currently resident in Bristol and was just wondering about what the industry is like where you are?

Thanks Lazarus you're a gent.
Many thanks for this tip, one that will be handy for future reference.
you can be very smart about copyright with flash too, many possibilities there ... and it is so much fun :)
+Lazarus+
04-02-03, 05:20 AM
I believe Flash should be used sparingly
Only use tools where a tool is best used all round
Wow, lots to look at. I don't allways appreciate your style, but after browsing all the images I would say I've been converted ;) Really good stuff, personally, 'Wine Sniffer', 'Koala Spoons' and 'Fair Thee Well' stood out for me. But there are too many pics that appealed to me, to mention here.
Good page BTW, leads you straight to the goodies. And for the record, I too was fooled, but don't worry you'll allways be a floozie to me :) :tu:
hello boozie! i look again and again your work,2d and3d, and it's really superb! very very modern, with this touch of "fifties" so fine; bravo! hope you find all the audience you must have... friendly M. oh, and miss floozie, as aurick sayed, is a man? well, nobody's perfect...
