well, here he is...the long anticipated Ultimate Evil. i made the final image in about 8-9 hours at the most. tell me which you like more. also, i was planning to do some close-ups, so tell me what part of the pic you'd like to see in more detail. i really got into this guy (i even made up a legend for him). anyway, here he is...hope ya'll enjoy it.

here's the updated version. i hope these lights are satisfactory to everyone. i put a little more green and yellow in the background for you, dib. oh, and i'd like to thank Kathy for the excellent "elephant skin" alpha that was used extensively on this project. Anyway, here it is.

Definately first one! Good work.
Jibberish, will you experiment lights before finish it? It could be great lighting subject with bold rays... I could use more of yellow/green colors in the background. What do you think?
Again good work.

i love the first one...the fog is too thick and hides him in the second one...and I would agree about the lighting...you lost some of the cadaver effect from the torso that you originally had...the image is kewl as heck though, and I love the look of the landscape you placed it on...but play with the lighting on this one...good things come to those who wait and it looks like it has been worth the wait ..Love the detail of the creatures left leg with the biomechanics look... :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
It almost looks as if his right hand is gesturing for "something" else to come. I hope he isn't a general to a whole army of those suckers. Awesome pic. I agree with Ron, more lighting and less fog. IT is really awesome. Excellent job man.
It came out lookin excelent. Good work :tu:

hey everyone, thanks for all the comments. i'll get to work on lighting him better right away. i blended the leg joints after i had exported him as a picture, though so i'll have to do that over again. so it might take me a day or so to get the revised version postes. but i'll hurry.
i'll also put some close-up shots of him on here. i always like receiving advice, cuz it usually makes the pic look alot better. thanks again!

Hey JIB!
It turned out pretty good.
Liked the design of the creature. My only comment would be the same as the majority. "LIGHTING". ('Hope you won't mind.,) I'd like to suggest setting one "strong" Lightsource and add a couple of complimentary lights. (not too strong) 'Just to add some highlights. (preferrably neon green or blue.)
I'd put the "sun" light directly above it or below it (for a dramatic "underlit" effect.)
I can already imagine how great this piece would look with the adjustment of lights.
Great Job!!!

i think i like the image with fog better.. its a hell of a image jibberish.. it was worth the wait .. thanks for showing it to us.. keep them coming ok..
Fabulous work.
LOVE it. I prefer the middle rendition as far as the lighting/atmosphere.
Great character work.
Damn fine use of the elephant skin alpha. ;)

yeah the middle one is tops as far as the three of them go....outfriggin standing job....so waht is your next project? and btw...I still miss the cadaverish details of the original torso image you gave us a sneak peak at...George Romero would be proud of that one...keep u the great work...and yeah one last thing...I blue lighting did wonders on this for me... :)
The middle one also gets my vote. It's an outstanding job, man. Really great modeling, texturing and vision. Not to mention a really creepy creature. I was also struck by the impression that he was making a "come and get me" kind of gesture. :)
Anyway, I agree with dOb and Sonny. Very bold lighting with strong shadows would add even more life to the scene and make it more dynamic.

hey, thanks for all the comments/suggestions.
Richard, i like your idea of an action scene and i'm seriously thinking about puting him in one. it would take a while, so be patient.
Ron, can you be more spacific on exactly what details you were thinking of? (coloring, texturing, modeling) my next big project is going to be one man standing in the foreground after a battle. the background will contain what was left after the battle.
Edit: here are some close-up shots of the hand and hip area of my character.

I also have to go with aurick and Kat. I think the middle image has an edge on the others. I personally would be happy with any of the three, but given a choice , my vote goes with Numero dos.

I too would choose number three. The ambiance of the lighting and the overall depth of the image is best depicted in version 2. Great job! :tu: :tu:
