Hey everyone....My son came to me at the last minute about a 7th grade book report/ assignment. For the book report they had to make a cereal box representing elements from their book. My son had chosen R. L. Stine's Barking Ghost....Figured some zbrush stuff would give him a good helping hand. Unfortunately I havent found my discs for later versions of PS...using a very old version at the moment..so there wasnt a whole lot to do with the text effects...and I was on a short time line this evening...but at any rate this is what we did for the cover and thought I would share...I will try to take a pic of the actual box if he gets the project back soon enough....but after printing the cover I took a cig lighter to all the edges...turned out pretty cool I guess...he is happy as a lark. The bowl was done in Z. There is milk in the bowl also done in Z...and the dog shaped cereals were alphas made in Z and then turned 3d....the marshmellows are just the cylinder tool...rendered with Mtb's enviroment setup...and composited in ps.I modeled a spoon to put in the image but the zif mesh blew apart...grrrrr..so I dropped the spoon portion...well thanx for looking....just thought I would show something a little different in how Z is or can be used...

Thats great Ron, I helped my son once using poser and my daughters name tags in 2d.I guess I'll have to take him thru zb also for future assignments .
Hehe, that absolutely rocks Ron. You did a great job of advertising . I am sure it helped the school project a lot. I would buy some but am afraid to! :D:tu:
i wish my dad knew zbrush when i was at school :D

doron...lol...sometimes I think my son just wishes I didn't work with zbrush...makes his projects too hard....but he still thinks the old man is cool...:tu:  :tu:
tartan....thnx....I was using an older version of PS....it could have looked alot sweeter and taster if I had more time to work on it...but he came to me pretty much at the last minute to help him.
Cal, my friend....my son wishes I would do poser for him..lol....he is 13 now and well the nude models catch his eyes....I tease him about it...I can just imagine him coming home with a note from the school or being expelled for bringing nekkid poser people to the class...
lemo.... :) I can't even see past my belly most of the time
Seb, thnx...it was the best thing we could come up with....I was just thankful that he had read a scary story....had it been about puppy dogs and butterflies I would have been in trouble.
Bas, thank you for your comments my friend. Hope you are getting some fishing in these days. Not been able to go for a while myself, but soon....
Z is capable of so many things, and one of these days hopefully it will pay some bills around here:D
Well here is the promised pic...nothing earth shattering but we had fun...
thnx again for your comments...they are always appreciated.
kind regards,
Ron
