Any tips on image planes?

I've been looking on the net for any tutorials regarding creating accurate image planes for front and side views. Is there a way to center my drawings so that both are equal or am I to just eyeball it? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

take a look at the new "image planer 2"

it will no allaign your images to eachother, but it can save the pose of the tool.
