I was sort of trying to go with some flying theme. Just playing around with Zspheres and texture master to see how it would work exporting. I love how Texturemaster works now with the UV system.Awesome finish on this. Sort of a seashell effect....

When you say, "I love how Texturemaster works now with the UV system", does that mean that ZB 1.55 deal with UV coord differently than previous versions? And if so, how does it deal with them differently?

Well the way I understand it, the UV tiling system is much more accurate when painting on a 3D object. If you look at a texture map created with it, it's pattern is unlike the old method that basically took the surface and spread it out. With UV tiling, it can't be touched up in photoshop, but it's much more accurate in regards to blending. I believe that Pixologic has substantial information on this.

You mention exporting it. What did you export it to? What was it rendered in?

It was exported into cinema 4D using a faux hdri set up in Ver. 7.

I've been doing a lot of work lately with Wings and learning POV-Ray for the first time. I'm going to do some messing around with creating sculpture in ZB, bringing it into Wings to create the POV file and going from there.

It seems to be a very decent workflow, especially since Wings and POV are free.

Right now ZB is the only commercial 3D app. I'm using. I wonder how long before someone cranks out a plugin for Wings that would allow a lot of the sculpting ability that ZB has? It seems doable as most of ZB's sculpting tools are essentially advanced magnet functions.

Thanks for sheding some light on what you used.

Hi Monkeyfarm,
Can you share with us information about POVray, where can one could learn about it (I gave their site a visit but I got lost..) and what use do you find in it that you dont have in the Zbrush renderer?
thanks in advance
