Fine cave work indeed Sarum. :tu: :tu: I find images of caves fascinating especially for what they represent in our subconscious minds and their vulvic symbology of hidden knowledge, sexuality, birth, the womb or the return to the womb in the entombment of death. On that basis I'm not sure whether the figures add to this, or perhaps take away some of that mystery. It's no surprise that dragons choose to live in caves rather than quality housing with full amenities. ;)
Either way, very fine work indeed.

Very cool rock work... You've gotta show us under the hood how you got the rock so well done. Is it a material or a texture? How's you get the individual rocks?
Very cool!
thanks all :)
the rock on the back are a textured applied to a 3d plane ... then the texture is used as an alpha masking ... then some inflating and smoothing (mentat explain that method well in the mother nature thread)
to make the cave, i flipped the picture (second 3d plane) and changed the size to broke the symmetry :)
I think the beginning image is excellent, Sarum. boozey floozy's assesment of caves image is right-on; likewise her uncertainty about the figures. I feel they "pluck the heart out of the mystery."
Are you aware of the drawings and sculptures of Lee Bontecou?
