Hi all,

Well I have been doing the tutorials and I finally get zspheres. My problem is, I am trying to make a symetical character, but when I hit "x" the points are never directly across from each other like I need them to be, how do I adjust this easily? Or do I have to have the object Im workin on rotated perfectly in a certain position? I am a 3DS MAX user, so I am used to things being kinda difficult to figure out at times, so maybe I am simply over thinking something here? Any help greatly appreciated.

You need to start with symmetry (usually x) selected before you begin modelling. But you don't need the object to be oriented in a specific way.

The nature of zspheres and their algorithms means that they can over a modelling session slip out of symmetry.

There is a zscript in the quicklinks called 'Restore symmetry'. If you apply this to your zsphere model before skinning it can even up any small anomalies.

Hi BC,

Thanks I will have to look for that script you mentioned. I really like ZBrush, but its a little daunting at first. LOL, I think 3D max is much easier.. but I guess they all get ez after using them for a while.
