Ya know, sometime you have to do a tutorial on your texture and material techniques!...These abstract images of yours are the most striking and impressive things I see here, and a lot of times I type a search in and look at a lot of them at the end of my day...What blows me away is that they are ALL unique!
Think of this, :tu: , as a holographic thumbs-up...smash it into tiny pieces and each tiny piece will contain a complete :tu: ...

Brilliant work...

All 3 are of these pieces are great! Each one brings on a different feel, a different time. I agree with Stonecutter, some type of tutorial or script would be wonderful!

You've really outdone yourself with your materials on this one. The stone in the first pic is one of the most realistic I've seen. And all of the materials used in the third are really impressive.

It's amazing when I look at the thumbnails at the top of the topics list; I can always tell a Rhom original on sight. :tu:x10!

Thanks everyone.EZ I'll have to look and see what the gold settings are.The other cylinder
is one of the gel reflecteds',drawn with material and Zadd selected I MRGBZ grabbed the whole scene and used it as the reflection at about 90%.

All have their virtues Rhom.........textures/materials great. BUT I like everything about Number three.....those textures I would love to have....they do their work so well in that pic. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

All three are excellent graphics Rhom - hard to pick my favorite but the last one has that semi-oozy organo look that I'm so fond of! And the gold rocks also!

My favorite is the third one, because of the realistic textures and surfaces. Sweet! :tu:

the torus is my fav...high tech wet look crazy straws.....but the new one is very ultra kewlies too....I would like to know more about how you get the lights / lazer coming offa the robotic armature..and your reflection technique...did you make a texture brush to do that? way kewl... :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

hi Ron-for those beams of light I export the whole image out to PhotoPaint and then import
it back in again. Then I use the highlighter tool-set on RGB and ZADD and the stroke is set to straight line. The reflection was an
MRGBZ grab and used as a texture on one sphere and as a reflection on the other. There is probably an easier way to do the laser beams but I've not figured it yet.Probably involves baking layers-haven't done much with baking.Hope this answers your questions and thanks for your comments.
