Hy Psyber
You have a very good idea that whats onĦĦĦ Just practice and the more important thing is see the tutorials that come with the software and press in the zscript pannel the bottom "show actions" and then you can see step by step every thing thereĦĦ
ps: Your model is veru nice, the feedback is enterely positiveĦĦ
Congratulations.
This tutorial from Southern is obligate to learn sculping Model Head Tutorial by Southern (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011794)
You've hit PusGhetty's annotated ZScript tutorial (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011864)? If not, do. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Just glancing at this image, it looks like you've more or less got the right idea, but that you'll be much happier with the "Z Intensity" set lower when you draw. It defaults to 25. 2 will be better for a lot of this. Take your time with it.
Likewise, experiment with different brush sizes when you're using Move or Scale.
And with Move, try to get a sense for the different shapes that will result if you drag various distances past your target and back again. Once that becomes intuitive, it's a very powerful tool.

Thats some great feedback...
Is there a way to use a non-circle modeling brush? Like a wedge or a square?
Im working on the next one... Ive been pouring through the tutorials too...
Jake-
I don't know of any way to change the modeling brush itself, but you can bring different shapes in as alphas and inflate based on those, I think.
That's a whole area I've never messed with, but there should be tutorials available. Search the forum for 'stencil' and see what comes up. Also, the 'texture_depth' tutorial which comes with ZBrush may prove helpful.

Umm, PsyberJake? I thought it was supposed to look like that. It looks great to me.
I'm still trying to get to where I can reliably make the bloody tutorial basket more than one time in a row without it turning into something unidentifiable.
Sooo many features, so little time.

Hehe... Yah... Im not happy with the lips tho... need more practice working with the tools... Its getting better tho... but I agree with you... Theres not enough time. Id love to be able to play with this product for a month just to get familiar with it. I cant wait to see how this evolves and matures.

Follow up post...
OK... This is where this model is going. The original idea is from this sketch and Im trying to convert it...
Feedback? Is it close? I know that the nose is way off... I messed that up somewhere along the way...
Any ideas on what I should do to get tht hair texture? Im not sure what Im going to do yet... Im thinking its going to be a cylinder, columns, inflated or deflated and then twisted... or something like that...

I was reading your last post and is very nice that results you have right now...If I understand well your needs...I made for you a quickly zscript with a model head that, of course, is not the same what you post you want to be your guide but, for instance, could help you in some aspect you want as I understand from your reply.
I will try in the other aspect you want to make something that can help you
