2 and 2.5 painting..I have been pretty busy over the last five days or so and havent had any z time to speak of...so I have been having massive withdrawals..so to unwind before bed I thought I would paint up something without monsters for a change..though I can just about bet there is something in the tall weeds and reeds :) muhahahahhaha It was nice to do something different though.

I spent alot of time in my younger days sleeping in areas like this and fishing them at night as well, back home in Arkansas. The frog gigging on nights like this was just as memorable and fun

Good weedy riverbottom, night sky, and reflective water.
That's a nice atmospheric scene, Ron. :tu: What kind of wild life do you find in those parts?

thanks for the comments yall...critters that inhabitat that area would be along the following: Opposum, raccoons, herons, crow, cotton mouth water moccasins, copper head snakes, owls, bobcat, skunk, rabbit, occasional coyote, armadillos, alligator snapping turtles and regular green snapping turtles, eagles, hawks, gulls, assortment of ducks, snipes, and throw in a few stray cats and dogs and a rare screech of a panther, and we had a lot of wild cats and dogs in the area as well. So there is alot of wildlife to consider in such a simple of an area. Most of that wildlife could be seen on a daily basis cept for the bobcat and armadillos and coyote....and we would often see deer tracks as well...and you would see pheasant carcasses strewn about the woods on occasion there as well. Hard to believe all that was in such a relatively small area....I dearly miss it....and I didnt even mention everything that lurked below ground and under the water...that would fill a thread of it's own easily
that's beautiful, Ron :)
I especially like that kind of moon and clouds -- I go out several times a night just to look at the sky
Thats a very emotional piece ron , conveys alot of tranquility and at the same time immenence of something to come...very awkward feeling...but I like it :)..

Snakes and Panthers! Ron, it's a wonder you could camp there at night with all the wild things about.
You must be the 'Crocodile Dundee' of ZBC. :D

never saw a panther, but I had heard them often...that is the only thing I was told that could screech like that....would sound like a woman screaming in the night....very hair raising....the first time I heard it, we were partying a bit in a nearby cemetary, Roselawn, and that sound came from the woods...we didnt know if it was a ghost or a woman being tortured...My friend and I ran like the wind like scared rabbits to get out of there. Later it was explained what we probably heard. Back then I was definitely an avid outdoors person. About the wildest creatures I deal with these days are flamers and our wild creations on zbc :) ;)
