This is for the guy who suggested you go to Google, and search human anatomy. First of all.. IT'S NOT HUMAN!, and secondly, go easy. It's obviously a stylized piece, and ... aah forget it....
I appreciate when anyone shares their work and input, so thanks to the maker of reptilian creature...

Well, the character obviously has human traits, learning the human figure can help exponentially in character design. I checked out you're site and you're other works depicting humans, vampires, they are suffering from the same thing.

good start on your creature. My scans are never clean enough to really do this type of work. I end up with way too many artifacts on the scan. How did you get around this with your hand inked pic you started with? thnx
ron
ps. Anatomy...hmmmm ...guess we better let the Jimmy Neutron makers and The Southpark gang in on that ..lol....;)

Scan you image at 600dpi
Save this file as master
Drop the Resolution to 100dpi and the document size to somthing huge I always use 33inchs in height and keep the constraint proportions on so it will auto figure width
Do a slight gausian blur on the document
Save your document as somthing else (that way you keep your original art)
Now you will need Illustrator cs2 to open the document
once open click on the image and on the title bar choose Live Trace
Walla Smooth Lines
You can also choose from several built in styles of trace
Once done you can export as PSD and it will save your document back to the 300 dpi mark
This trick works great with zbrush also with Meat's wire frame style cause you can make your black and white masks near vector so you dont get nodes on the edges
Before Live trace

After live trace

I thought I had found the answer to my scanning problems, but you use Illustrator which I don't have. I really like the image of the werewolf and the shadow map of the creature and the corpse. Thanks for the info.
