Here's a quick detail test I did yesterday... the final mesh is only about 80k polygons. I wanted to keep going and get even finer detail but it's just a test, and anyway, LW was choking even on that when I imported it.

Looks real nice there Gwot. Have you tried rendering with normal and displacement maps at all?

Hey thanks for the comments PusGhetty. Hopefully I'll have some time to submit more than just a head for my next one.
Shawn: Yes I generated a normal map in LW earlier today but I need to tweak the low rez mesh and uvs a bit more, as I rushed through them both and it shows in the normal map. I'll post the results once I get it fixed. BTW, I still need to answer your email - I'll be heading back into work in a bit so I'll take care of that tonight.
