I was totally blown away by Jelee's garden image of Babylon.....top notch in my book....so that was my inspiration to try something along those lines, though I fear mine is no more than imitatioin of sorts....anyhoo....all z....and 1 layer...3d brush used with a cutom alpha I made for the floor area...and the rest is just normally stuff we doodle with daily...3d planes etc ...I will be adding more to this though I am sure...
so here is my version of a water temple..wip...suggestions and comments appreciated....

thnx Jelee :tu: :tu:
Looks like you're having fun with it, Ron. Looks good. You might have wished later that you put the 3d objects on another layer. Would make it easy to blur the background pic into water where you want it after. Anyway, looks great.
Nice start my man. This is looking as if it will become another masterpiece. :) :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
The upgrades should be interesting
:ex: They will be followed with great interest.

Nice to see you doing something different and long range, F/S! :D
If you import your painting as a background fill, you can add layers for further 3D additions, and repeat as many times as you need... ;)

This is very nice. It does look like the temple? is floating in the air to me. Is that how it's suppose to look?

snicke...my wife still doesnt like it...
I like this one Ron. I think it is shaping up to be one of your best yet. It looks good now, but I think rippling the water would really add to it. I like the reflections you've added in the update. They add alot to the appearance of the water :tu:

Coming along very well, Ron - and pretty brave to attempt to follow in DLee's recent footsteps. But although that is your inspiration, you have made the interpretation of the theme very much your own.
I like the weighty feel and the texture of the masonry. The water reflections are a significant step forward, but somehow the eye (well, my eye at least) can still get tricked into thinking "air".
Look forward to seeing how this progresses - it's certainly off to a promising start.

Hi Ron,
This is very cool. It kinda looks like an optical illusion where it goes from stone to water to land at the bottom. Neat.
