Ok, Michael I did what you suggested, I don't know if this is what you meant?? I didn't exactly get "sparkles" just highlights. Is this right?

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that this was painted all in one colour (don't know where the blue spot came from?). I just used different alphas and materials and tools to get the different effects. I love my smudge brush!!

Wonderful work Mak...Being originally from Nova Scotia, I've seen both this light and this time...You captured it perfectly...

You might want to play with the Shading Enhancer brush, with ZAdd off, and a low intensity, say 10 to 20 RGB value, to add 'sparkles....

Fine and eloquent image!

I spent eight years in Canada, and I promised myself that the only time I wished to see snow again was in a photograph. Just looking at snow makes me feel cold. It is unfortunate that those eight years I spent in Canada were some of the coldest in years. Which years? 1958-1966.
Very realistic image, how do I know? I feel cold! :D :D :D :tu: :tu: :tu:

Now that is cool - in every sense of the word. :tu: ;) :tu:

Whenever it turns like that here (rarely), I'm straight out in the car with camera at the ready, heading for the woods. I don't mind the cold; it's heat that gets to me.

Nice update, Mak! :tu: :)
You can also raise the RGB value, use very small brushes, and different Alphas for all kinds of special effects, including little 'starburst' and 'Flare'.... :D
