I recently purchased Lightwavea and am awaiting its arrival. My primary goal in 3D is to create and animate characters that I've been thinking of for a few years.

My current plan is to produce the basic character models in LW, then export to ZBrush for detailing and texturing. My concern about starting the models in ZBrush (which I love) is controlling symmetry and polygon count. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm more confident of accomplishing these goals in a traditional modeling program like LW.

I was just curious how others integrate ZBrush into their workflow. I'm just a hobbyist with a more than full-time job, and I hope to learn from what others do in this regard.

Thanks in advance!

Thats great your planning on getting more
into Zbrush. If your just hobbyist dont
be concerned about poly counts. Just sculpt
and have fun. If your model is to big to import into LW just pop down to a lower
res in Zbrush and bake out a map to capture
all the extra detail. Bring that map and the
lower res model back to LW.
Just focus on good character not poly counts. Have fun in you spare time!
