Hi all!
I just asked myself which are the right properties for a material used in an object which should reflect itself. Possibly a robot with metallic legs which reflect his upper body. Please help me and perhaps post an example. thx and sorry for my bad english...i'm just a german guy ;)

ZBrush does not have raytraced reflections. However, you can make an image self-reflecting by using the Environmental Reflection feature.

It has two parts.

First, in the Modifiers for many materials you will find an Environmental Reflection slider. This works like the regular Reflection slider, but rather than reflecting the material image, it will instead use the Environmental Reflection settings from the Render palette.

Which brings me to the second part. Once you have given a material an Environmental Reflection value, nothing will happen unless you turn ER on in the Render>Environment menu. There are many options available to you, which I would recommend reading about in the ZBrush manual (available as a downloadable PDF from the Support page at www.zbrush.com (http://www.zbrush.com)

Enjoy!
