Hi all.

Just found a disturbing tutorial by marciani, where a ZSphere
Z PAWN (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=012537)
is shown.

There the zifs seem to work like muscles, and there is a smoth skin around the whole of the model, instead of a wormy skin following every branch. How is this (FANTASTIC) effect achieved?

Thanks in advance,

Sygnus

hi there,

i think, you'll have to create an adaptive skin for your zsphere model first, then preview by hitting 'A' to get that smooth skin you're talking about.

I just found out that the result I am after is obtained through the unified skin, but i have another doubt: hou do I optmize a polymesh? How do i undivide the whole (or the unmasked parts) of a polymesh that is already hi-res with no low levels stored?

Simply put, where is the optmize button??

'optimize' can be found in the 'tool'-palette under 'geometry'!

Yes, it is, but only for primitives.

I need to optimize a polymesh.

Polymeshes have the divide button, but not the optimize on the geometry section.

maybe clicking make polymesh 3d first in the tool palette , load the new tool, then maybe able to optimize
