can you show your setting for this render i am having a real hard time rendering out my horse. in maya
about 6minutes in maya mentral ray,and with 2area light...
ive almost given up on mental ray i just cant get it to work, it crashes crashes crashes no matter what i do. i am really dissapointed

Hi elfufu,
Why don't you show us your render settings Let's see if I can help you.
I'd also like to know answers to the following:
1. What format is your displacement map in? RGB or Grayscale?
2. Have you converted your object to a SubD surface, or did you apply mental ray approximation settings?
