I was just playin' around with some lighting test and wanted to do a "quickie". One thing lead to another and I got hooked.

...still stuck with v.123b...
I may have to pay Master Ofer a visit one of these days.

Love it!!!!!! yer style is readily identifiable with me for sure and I bet with others as well....great job on the character....at first I thought it might be a gremlin from the movies Gremlins....but I see cosmic kat is his own character :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: You definitely do a great job at pushing the envelope of Z in your images. :tu: :tu: :tu:

I appreciate your comments guys.

LWTB just gave me an excellent idea on revisiting Toonshader.

http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1027972044esh.jpg

Step1: Using a basic material, I painted over my original to get rid of any textures that I have on certain parts.

Step2: Using the same basic material, I then applied flat colors on different parts.

Step3: I then replaced that basic material by loading "Toonshader" material.

Since my original image is non-realistic-themed., I thought it would be a good thing to convert this into a cel-shaded-looking image.

Cheers!

Lonnie the graph for the material ambient and diffuse can produce a custom toonshader for the occasion...Just make it 'steps' instead of a smooth curve... ;)

I know that Mike but I want to see the one he used for this piece. ;)

I'm not quite sure if the "toonshader" material is included in your materials folder of ZBrush. (or Ofer may have given it to me.) In any case, here is the material.

Thanks Sonny. Actually now that I think about it...that may be one of the extra materials included in the Material Pack Pix put out a while back. So do you change anything on it to get this look? :)

The toonshader version is great-what a fantastic picture--I've always found toonshader --in materials --load--toonshader--apple--etc. --not in material pack-- :D :D couldnt find it in 1.5 but didnt look carefully
