I only used the demo version to do this picture; here is how I did it (check the pictures).
I am gonna try to work a bit more on this picture so c&c are appreciated.

Well, if you want to create a picture I think your composition is not sufficient.
First, I think you should add a real backround and work a lot on your lighting (Your backround color is yellow but your lighting doesn't really fit with that)

The teeth are strange (it's just a personnal opinion) Maybe you could add more specular on the teeth.

The modeling (on the first picture) is pretty good and original.

Your character would be better if you could add a colour map.

The eyes are lifeless too and the butterflies are too much similar.

But remember, this work is very good !! Of course you need to work more on it but it's very good so far, don't get discouraged ;)

Gopher, thank you so much for the real good feedback you gave me. I am gonna try to make my composition more effective and bring back more life in the eyes as you say. For the teeth I was pretty please with them but as you say I can add some specular.
