I entered the SolidPDA competition and I was hoping I'd get some final crits and suggestions from here before I submitted the final version. Most modelling and detail work was done in Zbrush, rendering was done in XSI/Mental ray and comping was done in Photoshop.

I'm still trying to figure out a name for this.

My progress can be found here (you might need to register) http://www.solidpda.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=806&PN=1

Thanks.

The image looks very good overall, the only things I could suggest is: the
shadow on her right foot looks like a matte line. It is probably correct as
per render but..... The skin [on my monitor] looks too blemish free if you are
going for photorealism. If you wanted the perfect photo from National
Geographic don't do anything.
Don't know why no one has commented on this great piece of work!

I'm surprised I missed this one. Lovely pose and nice mood. The surface of the building is very good, especially around the bottom of the doorway. I wish I had some really good critiques to help you out, but I'm not certain I'm quite of the calibre of 3d artists yet to do so. That said, take my critiques with a grain of salt...

- I agree with pride's suggestion that you may want to consider more irregularity on the skin, both the diffuse and the specular.

- The foot on the ground appears a little too flat where the ankle meets the top of the foot.

- Perhaps the elbow of the hand with the pipe is a little sharp (though I'm not entirely convinced of this). Other than that, the anatomy looks really good to me.

- Also, are you planning to add hair? If not, I'd expect there to be at least a little more surface variation where her hair has been shaved. (The skin pores/hair follicles.)

Again, I sort of hate to give critiques as I'm already very impressed with it.
It's a really captivating image. I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. Very nice work!

Very beautifull work...stunning quality..the only thing i noticed , but don't take it as a crit ..more as question , is that i think the head needed to be a bit more round and lower jaw base smaller ...if u hide the rest of the body with your palm u will see that the head looks a bit like a male head....but then again...i may need to get out more..

Immpresive work... :tu:

mic,

Great work. It's nice to see a natural body instead of the too perfect ones. The pose is great. I have to agree that some imperfections would improve it. Some debris on the ground etc.. The tree shadows are a nice touch.:tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Lovely image! I agree that it needs some more dirt. If one went around without clothes their skin , especially the feet, would have lots of dirt, maybe a bit of sweat.

The body is outstanding.:tu::tu:

My only minor comment would be facially she looks quite masculine. I think it might be the brow that is doing it.

Great work though. GL with the entry.

Very nice man!
The face looks a bit masculin, maybe rounder the front, and make eyebrows less strong could make her look more feminin?
