Another THING!

O.K. so last time i posted i mentioned i'd try a realistic human head next, but........... I haven't got the urge to create PURE EVIL out of my system yet!
Rob Bottin's work on John Carpenter's THE THING is what got me obsessed with this stuff all those years ago and now with Z-BRUSH i can GO NUTS! creating THING'S! anyway enjoy and crit's are most welcome. Nick.

You should have a warning : doesn't go well with stomach in morning...

Makes me think of a type of fungi which acts as a parasyte in ants, ... It basically targets the brain of the ant, makes it want to go as high as possible. Once on the leaf of a high tree, it kills the ant and spreads out a little bit like your artwork. Then it emits spores...

I beleive it's called Cordyceps australis. Sometimes nature is gross.

Sickmaking! I love it. Don't worry about realistic stuff, just let your imagination run with it.

As far as something that you could improve, in the render, some of the parts look a little plastic-like instead of wet. Not that I have advice for you on how to fix that.
