Texturemaster Tutorial

I am a newbie to zbrush, I think it is really cool. I have been viewing the texturemaster zscript and I am fascinated by how real the apple looks. The only thing that troubles me is I am trying to model an apple like the one in the tutorial. For some reason I can't get it to look anywhere near like that apple. I am especially having trouble making a stem. I try and follow all the steps but I always end up with a bullet looking object. Is there a written version of that tutorial anywhere?

I found that by reading each chapter, and then doing the ZScript version of that chapter helps.
