Many years ago, when I was a boy, there was always a place in the woods where a group of boys would meet. At this location we would hunt birds, crabs and catch crawfish in the stream and roasted them in an open fire between three rocks. Sometimes we would get a sweet potato or breadfruit and roast it also.
I am sure that most boys had a place like this. This is my recolection of what it looked like.

Thanks folks! I have to try and record these images of my boyhood days for my four year old grand son before I forget about them, as that would be sad.

KS the information on creating the foliage is in the QuickLinks. The only difference is the starting shape, once that is done, you just layer it on to accomplish the effect you would like to have.

Very nice, Joe - I think the fire works very well. :tu: :tu: :tu:

I pass such a spot on one of my regular walks locally near a scout camp site.

FC, do you think you could do an image of that site? even a very rough one will help with what I have in mind. If not a Photograph would also be helpful.
