Well, not really, but my new Alphas will help ya make some. Frenchy posted a link a moth or so ago to a site on Ernst Haeckel. He was a
19th century naturalist and proponent of
evolution. On this site there was a reprint of one of his books with a TON of illustrations.
http://caliban.mpiz-koeln.mpg.de/~stueber/haeckel/kunstformen/natur.html

I was looking at these images and thought that
they would make some cool alphas. So I converted about 6 of 'em. They look cool when used for engraving armor and such. And Atlantean Cthulhu Cult Tokens too... :)

Oh and the line on the right of the tokens is an Alpha artifact that I have NO idea how to get rid of. Any suggestions?

Thanks Frenchy!

Enjoy,

Dickie

messing with levels or contrast settings in PS should allow you to see it and erase it out.

They are pretty cool as coins, line or no.

I am pretty much new to alphas.. How did you achieve such fine detail? and thx for the resources :)

Dickie

Tartan, you have to subdivide your mesh a lot to get all the detail in...I used the sphere tool subdivided twice to about half a million polys...NOT the z-sphere, though that can be used too...Iy you use the sphere tool, don't forget to rotate it 90 degrees upwards so you don't texture on the part where all the polys converge...

That is fantastic detail. Like the previous person I am new to Alpha Technique, is there any tutorials on Using, Making Alpha's for use in Zbrush. I Use Photoshop 7.0 But never dealt with Alpha.

Again, Awesome work!!! :tu: :tu: :tu:
