Hi everyone,

This is my first Zbrush image, a WIP rendering of my "fruit guy" (imaginative title I know) I should hopefully be picking up some RAM in the next couple of days & then I'm going to attempt to finalise the modelling - belt, socks, hair, texture & material (scary!).
Any C&C would be more than welcome.

Finally, massive thanks to everyone for making this such a excellent forum - I always told myself just to stick to 2D but with all of the help freely offered on this forum - I have happily jumped into that extra half of a dimension!!

Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks for the feedback Aminuts, Darko999 & Clubitz,

To be honest with you, because I only plan on using Zbrush for Illustration purposes, I presumed that the models geometry wouldn't matter as much as it would to someone planning to export for different renderings, etc.
Therefore (and as it was my first piece & I'm not 100% sure about things...well ok, I am blundering around a lot with a great deal of guesswork) it is just pieced together from individual bits & bobs - each one of a high resolution to achieve a smooth result - I was shocked at how smooth it turned out too - the wonders of AAHalf & smoothRGB!!

I wouldn't know where to start for posting a wireframe - is it just a render with a Polyframe on?

Anyway thanks again for the comments & hope you all have a great new year.

Mike.

MDG: A great first post! I come form a 3-D background, so when I see work by talented 2-D folks, I get really excited. I like your style. Now I gotta see him painted...:D

Welcome to the forums, Bro!

Thank you for the feedback, I hope to start texturing/material as soon as the break is over & I can pick up some more ram.
I' sure I'll have plenty of questions once I get started & it's great to know people are so willing to help.

Cheers again guys & hope you have a great new year.
