Here's a guy I'm working on right now.
The modeling is mostly done, just some wrinkles and pores to go, and maybe some other imperfections.
The skin colouring is still a work in progress.
(Material and lighting are slightly modified versions of Mahlikus the Blacks awesome .zmt and .zli)
How do you think he's coming along?
C&C most welcome. :)

I think it needs more wrinkle work around the eyes and the lips area. ;)
Otherwise, it looks good so far.
Good luck achieving this one !
Bye !

He (I do take that its a 'he' creature LOL) has a good form to him. There's something about the closed eyes that sort of draws you in. Obviously once he's res'd up a bit, his polys wont be showing in places anymore. I'd really love to see some fine detail around the eyes and mouth area on this. So many exciting possibilities for texture and lighting.....I have a feeling you'r going to enjoy this model.
Are you going to render the final version when he's finished in ZB or another app? I only ask as a good sub surface shader would be a boon to this model. Is this going to be a still shot or for an animated shot? Good design and layout of your composition.
I'll enjoy watching how he finally turns out.

Well it's been about 3 weeks since I last did any work on this guy. Managed to work a little more on him this afternoon. Mostly texturing work using alphas.
I threw him over a photo, just to see how he looks. It won't be in the final image. :)
Thanx for the comments, people :)
To Darth, I'll be doing the final render in Zbrush, so no SSS. I'll have to ask MonsterMaker how he faked it, and try to incorporate it in to my pic. (I'm guessing it was done by combining a few different passes in photoshop).

C&C always appreciated :)
Still to be done...
:b3: Needs more work on the ears
:b3: Extra work on the colouring
:b3: Work on the clothing
Oh, and I'll post a bunch of alphas up later. I made up a dozen or so. :tu:

Here are the alphas I promised...
:b3: 13Alphas zip (2.2Mb) (http://www.comcen.com.au/~cythe/zb/13Alphas.zip) :b3:
And here is a small 100x100 preview of each one...

Most of them are 512x512, though some are a little smaller or larger.
Hopefully someone can make good use of them.
Cool - Thx for the Alphas - :tu:
